During the opening of the new KNBTS Headquarters on 15th October 2009 during which Bloodlik Foundation presented 10 recliner seats for blood donors purchased courtesy of the Global Blood Fund.

Telkom Kenya /Bloodlink Foundation partnership

A partnership between Telkom Kenya and BLF was forged this year. The partnership aims to increase blood collection in the country. The sponsorship of about Ksh 4.2 million will cover university blood drives in 18 campuses and blood drives at selected Telkom Kenya branches countrywide.

5th AfSBT Congress held in Kenya

Organized by the Kenyan chapter of African Socitey for Blood Transfusion (AfSBT) ,this years congress was most successful. The focus centred mainly on recruitment techniques and the latest blood safety concerns and approaches. More than 500 atttendees from all over the world were present.
